It’s that time of year again –  when spring rains mist the air, birds begin to sing, and our vines begin to bud.  AND… when our tasting room is sparkling, polished, and stocked with wine and gifts. We are thrilled at the progress our vineyards and wines have made thusfar, both in the local marketplace and on the world stage of wine competitions.  Our team has consistently demonstrated that our wines are top quality and can garner double gold and gold medals, and even break the 90-rating barrier with the national wine press.  That is quite an accomplishment in just six short years.

Our strategy from the beginning was about quality and to help elevate the reputation of wines produced in the Finger Lakes.  To ensure quality, we invested in our own vineyards, state of the art winery, professional packaging, marketing, special events and a very talented team.  Our winemaker, Barry Tortolon, has done a wonderful job in creating wines that express the personality of the vineyards.  The terroir and climate of the Finger Lakes is unique and the wines express the minerality in the soil very well, especially the aromatic whites such as Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Silver Pencil.  The formula is working and we will continue to deliver on our goals.

The vineyards are managed by Gary McFetridge and he has learned a great deal over the years.  He keeps everything clean, keeping at bay the pests, mildew, deer, birds, raccoons, and whatever else Mother Nature sends our way to disrupt the grapes.  He also fine tunes the tractors, sprayers, plows, and other implements needed to maintain the vineyards.

Last but not least, our Tasting Room team rolls out the red carpet for our guests. They are true professionals when it comes to wine and hospitality management. Their wine knowledge is vast and their genuine approach with our guests is unmatched.

Finally, Dave and I want to thank all of our customers for their support.  We have invested a lot of our energy in this business and we truly enjoy watching people enjoy our wines and include them in their special celebrations.

 Cheers!
Amy and Dave Hoffman
