Mainstream Water Solutions Tests New Technology
Communities of Tomorrow is assisting Mainstream Water Solutions in field-testing its unique arsenic removal system for drinking water in small communities. The arsenic removal technology is one part of a suite of water treatment products developed by the Mainstream team. During this field test the system will be put to work on the water supply of the village of Kanata Valley. Completing this project will allow them to enhance the current water recycling system and will also provide them with a secondary stand alone product. Mainstream's products are targeted at a small community water treatment market estimated at $43 million in Western Canada alone. Full roll out of their system could result in the creation of up to 15 new jobs at Mainstream over the next five years. "This company continues to grow and develop its product line," said Communities of Tomorrow Acting Vice President, Innovation and Business Development, JP Martin. "We are really pleased to see them solidfying their products in an aggressive way that will allow them to take advantage of the smaller community water treatment market." |
