Communities of Tomorrow to Address Cities Meeting

Communities of Tomorrow representatives will be making a presentation to the annual meeting of Saskatchewan city Mayors and City Managers on May 28th in Melville.

“We see this as an excellent opportunity to extend our relationships with Saskatchewan’s largest urban municipalities,” said Communities of Tomorrow President John Lee. “They are critical partners in our mission to bring together the builders of infrastructure with their number one buyers, our cities.”

John Lee and CT consultant Dorian Wandzura will be discussing the opportunities for collaboration in the development of innovative infrastructure technologies and systems, which is the key engine to drive the growth of world-leading infrastructure industry in Saskatchewan.

“Our folks have been spending their time talking to the city engineering and operations staffs, finding out what they’re looking for,and what challenges they face in using innovative approaches,”said Lee. “As a result we have a sense of how to go forward with them, and we want to get their senior leaders involved.”

The objective of the meeting with the Mayors and City Managers is to help them understand how Communities of Tomorrow can work with their administrations to target priority items that would make a big difference to their infrastructure management.

“The right innovations will save cities money by making infrastructure systems more efficient and longer lasting,” said Lee. “It is only with the increased participation of the cities in developing those innovations that we can start delivering those savings.”
