Israel Seeks Partnership with Saskatchewan

Communities of Tomorrow President John Lee welcomes Jonathan Levy

On September 16th and 17th, Communities of Tomorrow welcomed Mr. Jonathan Levy, the Economic Affairs Consul & Trade Commissioner for Israel to Canada.

The main objective during Jonathan's visit to Saskatchewan was to introduce Israel's excellence in water management to water-related organizations, government-based water systems and industries who are involved in the area of water preservation, wastewater, reclamation, management, irrigation, recycling and municipal water projects.

Based on Israel's vast international experience in a number of areas relating to water issues, Israeli companies are looking for joint ventures, technology exchanges and R&D partnerships with institutions, organizations and companies with similar interests and disciplines.

In addition, Israel will be hosting the WATEC conference, a major international conference and trade show on water technologies and alternative energies, taking place in Israel on November 17-19, 2009 where many of the technological advancements and innovative technologies will be presented and could be reviewed and assessed first-hand. This was also an opportunity to share details of that event and hopefully create links that could lead to future partnerships.

We look forward to a growing collaboration with Israel even as we build a world acclaimed water innovation partnership here in Saskatchewan.
