Fall is Perfect Season For Pearl Market
If you haven’t been to The Pearl Brewery Farmer’s Market yet, you’ve been missing out. Of course, you can expect to find produce grown in Texas like tomatoes, corn, onions, oyster mushrooms, squash, figs and herbs to name only a few.
The truth is that produce only plays a part of what this farmer’s market is all about. At your finger tips are products like honey, fresh cheese, lavender soap, orchids and top notch beef, all locally produced by the same friendly faces that are selling it to you.
Now, if your only idea of this market has you thinking that everything has a price, you would be wrong. The Pearl provides some free entertainment too. There are cooking demonstrations with local chefs giving you an idea of how to incorporate all your market findings into a meal. Live music is also on the schedule every week. …& don’t forget to take a quick stroll on the newly developed part of the Riverwalk that connects the Pearl with downtown.
Biga on the Banks is also at the market selling different loaves of bread every week like focaccia, baguettes, rosemary-raisin bread and Debra’s ginger bread. If you’re looking for something to snack on as you peruse the other offerings at the market we usually have brownies, cookies and muffins.
One item that gets a lot of attention is our granola. So many people are interested in the ingredients and our how put them together, we thought it would be a good idea to provide a recipe.
